First of all, the automatic updating utility checks the presence of a key file (license file or demo file). If no key file is found, you will be asked to obtain a key file via the Internet through the user registration procedure. To receive a demo key file, press the "Obtain a demo key file" button, which will enable you to use Dr.Web anti-virus for 30 days.

To receive a key file, input the personal data (name, surname, email address), in the drop-down list select the country, input city name. All the listed fields are obligatory and should be filled in. If you want to receive news on Dr.Web anti-virus via email, check the correspondent box. Press "Next".

Check that the data you have entered are correct. If so, press "Next". Otherwise, press "Back".

The messages are displayed in the Status field during the key file receipt procedure. If the key file is successfully received, a message with the location of the key file will be displayed in the Status field. Press "Finish" to update the virus databases and upgrade the package files. If you failed to receive a key file, an error message will be displayed in the Status field.
